Where will you be working?

Van Vugt Kruiden is the specialist in fresh herbs, babyleafs and edible flowers. Our growing family business is located at Hoogzandweg in Ridderkerk. We have a wide range of products that we grow and package for our loyal customers. Every day we and our regular team make sure that our customers can come and load their orders on time.

Will you become our new colleague?

As an inspector you are responsible for assessing the quality of incoming and outgoing products. You are an important link in the entire quality process. You have no problem switching between different departments, such as quality, production, purchasing and sales. You act as a point of contact for your colleagues when it comes to product quality.

 

Duties:

• Inspecting the quality of incoming and outgoing products in close consultation with our quality team;

• Determining approval and rejection or partial usability of batches and necessary actions;

• Administrative handling of the inspection process and reporting of results;

• Handling, following up and dealing with quality complaints from our customers;

• Keeping a structured overview of the product quality of the stock;

• Performing shelf life tests;

• Keeping grower certificates up to date in customer portals and SuperVugt; 

• In consultation with production planning; instructing production staff regarding the quality process and overseeing the packaging of the correct quality of products during the production process;

• Support KCB and NVWA supervisors during inspections.

 

What do we expect from you?

• You are available full time;

• Affinity with the fruit and vegetables sector, preferably you have relevant work experience in this sector;

• The certificate ‘’Keurmeester AGF’’ (advantage);

• You have good communication skills;

• You can switch quickly and easily;

• Knowledge of common quality systems such as HACCP and IFS;

• Good command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing;

• You have no problem with a start time from 07.30 am.
