Herby ice cubes

Zero waste after cooking? We have a golden tip for you!

Finely chop leftover fresh herbs and put them, together with olive oil, in an ice cube holder. Put these in the freezer, this way you always have an easy and quick base for cooking vegetables, meat or gravy!

 

What you need:

  • Leftover fresh herbs after cooking (e.g. Chives, Rosemary, Sage, Thyme

  • Olive oil

  • Ice cube holder

 

Chop and chop the herbs as finely as possible. Put this into the compartments of the ice cube holder. Then fill the compartments with olive oil until they are full and top with the herbs as well. Put in the freezer for at least 5 hours. For the next few weeks, you are equipped with a good base for the pan!
